On the heels of the conclusion of the world cup, in our final segment we celebrate the survival and the ongoing life of Palestinians in Gaza through the story of Palestinian football star Mohammed Balah, whose career as the "Ronaldo of Gaza" was nearly cut short by Israel’s genocide and whose family, still trapped in Gaza, continue to face bombardment, hunger, and displacement.
We talk with Anne Habiby, co-author with Mohammed Balah of , a new book that tells Mohammed’s story of displacement, injury, and determination to survive and play on in the name of Gaza.
