MOHAMMED BALAH

Mohammed Balah is known as the “Ronaldo of Gaza,” one of Palestine’s brightest football (soccer) stars. He led Gaza’s Al-Sadaqa Club to its first-ever Premier League Title (2016-2017) and was named the Best Player in Palestine (2017-2018). Mohammed rose from repeated wars in Gaza to the Palestine National Team and professional clubs across the Arab world.

In 2023-2024, Mohammed Balah moved his family of fifteen from one shelter to the next in Gaza, never knowing if they would survive the night. His journey, from a tent in Gaza to the stadium lights of Cairo and Doha, and back to the Palestine Football Team, is one of the most extraordinary comeback stories in modern sport.

Anne Habiby’s career has bridged investment banking, co-founding AllWorld Network to support over 1,000 entrepreneurs in emerging economies, business school lecturer, and advisor to CEOs. She spent the last decade advising Saudi government on urban development projects in Riyadh as the Economist for the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. 

She is the author of numerous publications and Harvard Business School cases, has spoken at TEDx and global forums worldwide. As a Palestinian activist, she co-wrote Daring to Hope: Witness from Gaza to carry the beauty and unbreakable spirit of Gaza everywhere her voice can reach.
